Track Practices Will Now Be Held...

Wednesdays and Fridays at the High School only. There will no longer be Saturday track practice.

Also please note that the last day of track practice will be Friday August 16th.

Track Practice Update

Hello track children...there has been a change of plans with track practices. Unfortunately we are not allowed to hold practice at the high school when the high school is closed. Therefore, Track practice on SATURDAYS will be at the MIDDLE SCHOOL. WED and FRI Track Practice will be at the HIGH SCHOOL. ALL PRACTICES WILL BE HELD AT 9 AM.

Very Important: WHETHER YOU ARE GOING INTO 7TH, 8TH OR 9TH GRADE YOU WILL NEED TO TRY OUT FOR TRACK. HENCE YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE A CERTAIN TIME TO MAKE THE TEAM. PLEASE KEEP A LOOKOUT ON THE BLOG SO THAT YOU CAN BE INFORMED AS TO THE TIMES YOU NEED TO MAKE.

Hello track children! Here we go again...

Listen to announcements tomorrow. Weather permitting we will have track. Perhaps we can do some drills in the gym. I would have to check with the 7/8 building secretaries. Hope you guys have been practicing your breathing and form exercises. Those of you that decided to not participate in track please let me know so I can shred the form. I will call you guys or email you to find out if you are still in. Saturday practice I would really like everyone to be there by 9 on the dot. Warm up run the kunkle followed by a stretch. Short distance kids warm up is to run the track twice. We will look into other track and field events you may also be interested in.

There will be practice after school Wed and Friday next week. I know it is a half day and if you can't make it that is fine. Practice will be also on Saturdays at the high school track at 9 AM. There will be no picnic at this time...read below..

As the year is coming to an end, I had wished we could get together to wish the eighth graders farewell and discuss summer meetings. Many of you are busy this month and cannot meet, this is understandable. I will meet with you guys today at 2:30 to discuss practices this summer. Some of you may not be able to meet at all, that is fine. Some of you may be able to practice half the time, that is okay too. My focus this summer is going to be on breathing and form. Many of you really need to work on this. Those of you that have been working on this, we can focus on time and field events you may be interested in doing. As it looks right now, I am looking to meet Wed, Fri and Sat. I am in the hopes that one of those days we will be able to practice at the high school. Still trying to iron out the details. If your parents would like to speak with me please have them call me at 570-872-4498.

I am really proud of all of my athletes. They all improved their times and I am looking forward to next year. Those of you who wish to get together this summer to work on your skills please keep looking for updates on this blog.

Home Meet April 18, 2013 Outcome

Parents, we are very proud of our kids! They worked hard and showed everyone what dedication, school spirit and team unity can do. The kids times improved and they achieved great successes because of it. Coach Gerlach and I are looking forward to the Invitational on May 4th.
